Wikipedia says that Phyllanthus myrtifolius is endemic to Shri Langka, but it has thrived in our country as a
garden plant used as hedges. The older plant is a good bonzai material. The plant is cultivated using both
the hardy and young stems. Also adventitious roots come out at the base of younger stems making them new
cultivar materials for planting. I planted mine from the top part of the younger stems.

The name is a best guess, another candidate name is Salacia wenzelii Merr. Psychotrias produce the psychedelic chemical, dimethyltryptamine (DMT).They may be endangered due to loss of habitat(deforestation).
