Discovered in the same area where a rafflesia speciosa was photographed in Ongyod, Miag-ao, Iloilo by Ed Ola, this cyacad is endemic to the Philippines.
Identified by Benigno Resurreccion as Cycad vespertilio (Lind & Hill), endemic to the Philippines.
